Here are my favorites for the month of October.

1. [Skincare] Avon Anew Genics Gen-Protect SPF15 Treatment

octfav4

When I unboxed this last month (Glamourbox Beauty SOS) I didn’t really give this a big deal. Fortunately it turned out to be a really good day cream! I have been using this since I received this and I love this to bits! It has made my skin quite manageable and it definitely did not make it react negatively. As a bonus, it has SPF15 so theoretically you can go out with just this on your face (and I have!). I love the luxe glass bottle with pump as one pump gives out the exact amount of product for the whole face. This would definitely be a mainstay in my routine even at Php1299 a pop, but unfortunately Avon is not cruelty-free.

2. [Lips] Ofra Lipstick #202

octfav5

Glamourbox has a double-whammy for me this month! My favorite lip product is the Ofra Lipstick #202, from the same Beauty SOS box. It is perhaps my best red in my collection so far. I love how it feels on the lips, and it looks quite good with my skin tone.

3. [Face] Etude House Baby Choux Base in Mint Choux

octfav2

My favorite face base this month is my newly acquired primer/facebase, the Etude House Baby Choux Base in Mint Choux. I’ve recently just reviewed it. The factor that made it my favorite this month is the versatility of this product. I mostly use it as a substitute for BB cream/foundation, but this performs really well too as a primer and face base. It’s not a very expensive one at that too!

4. [Body] Godiva LicoWhite Whitening Lotion

octfav3

I was lucky to get a sample of this from Sampleroom, and the one pictured above is the last of the sachets. I really like how this feels on the skin, and I like how it smells too. I can’t quite comment on the whitening part since I’ve only been using it for about three weeks, but I wouldn’t mind buying a full sized bottle to see how it performs in the long term.

5. [Nails/Tools] BK Nails Dotting Tools

octfav6

These dotting tools helped me create my most recent nail arts, and I really like how they perform. I would love to feature more dots on my nails, and these will definitely be used a lot. I bought these separately, but both are found in Landmark Trinoma.

Here are my favorites for the month of September.

1. [Hair] Lucido-L Hair Make Supplement Treatment Oil for Straight

septfavs3

As I mentioned in the unboxing, this is one of the reasons I bought the SM Beauty Box. I wanted to try out a hair oil specifically for straight hair (even though mine is quite wavy), and this one really performs. The scent is wonderful as well.

2. [Eyes] Fairydrops Platinum Mascara

septfavs4

Much raves I have seen for this mascara, and I am glad to report that I find the raves to be true. This mascara really gives that much-needed length and volume to my sparse lashes, and stays on pretty much the whole day. It takes a lot of effort to get this off! I got this mascara from the BDJ Elite Box Girls Night Out.

3. [Face] Colour Collection Whitening BB Cream

septfavs2

My collection of BB creams is growing, and thus I didn’t really expect to like this one. It takes a lot to stand out from the bunch, but I found that this BB cream from Color Collection is doing just that. I’ll update this with a link to the full review, but suffice to say that I am much taken in by this tube. I got this from the September BDJ Box.

4. [Body] Ralph Lauren Big Pony Yellow

septfavs5

Gasp! A fragrance, in my favorites? Alas yes, I have to be honest and say that I am totally taken by this roll-on scent. I use this everyday and I feel that it holds on to me for most of the day too. The roll-on mechanism is a novelty as well; this is my first fragrance that comes in a roll-on bottle instead of a spray bottle. I got this from the BDJ Elite Box Girls Night Out.

5. [Nails] Models Own Nail Polish in Jade Stone

septfavs6

I really like to shade of this, a very bright and sunny green. If I didn’t have a lot of new polishes to swatch, I would have worn this a lot more frequently. As it is, the quality of this polish makes me want to get more Models Own. I got this from the Glamourbox Boutique.

Here are my favorites for the month of August.

1. [Eyes] In2It Eyebrow Kit

augfavs4

I’ve been using this for my brows ever since I bought it. The fact that it’s waterproof is the main reason I prefer this over using just plain eyeshadow on my brows (which I sometimes do, in place of the BYS eyebrow pencil). It also comes with a dark brown which makes my brows softer looking compared to using the black shadow from one of my Ellefar palettes. It’s also not very expensive at Php299! I will put up a review of this soon.

2. [Face] Avon Ideal Luminous Blush in Peach

augfavs5

I have found my favorite blush! I love how glowy it makes my cheeks look without going over the top. The shade Peach is such a great everyday color and matches almost any look I can come up with. I will write a review of this soon.

3. [Lips] Avon Ultra Color Lipstick in Hibiscus

augfavs6

A double entry for Avon! This is my go-to lipstick this month. I just love the pop of bright pink, which remains formal enough to wear to the office. It’s also very hydrating, and as a bonus it smells really nice as well! Thank you to Glamourbox for including this in the awesome Avon box.

4. [Skincare] Celeteque Acne Solutions Line

augfavs2

This month is probably the worst for me in terms of acne. I’m not sure if it’s the stress or my skin has just given up on me, but I’ve been getting the worst acne I’ve had in years. Thankfully there is Celeteque’s Acne Solutions Line which has been my savior. It’s gentle and yet very effective. This will always remain on my dresser for those bad breakouts.

5. [Nails] Rescue Beauty Lounge in Liberty

augfavs3

My possibly biggest splurge of the year, the RBL Liberty is such a sunny beautiful shade of green. I regret that summer had to pass before I am able to acquire this, as this would have been my summer staple. Rain or storm won’t stop me from using this over and over!

What are your August favorites? Let me know in the comments!

I’m starting a new category: Favorites! I was inspired by my fellow bloggers and I decided to feature my own monthly favorites. I will try to limit this to 5-6 items  (about one in each category) to avoid having excessively long posts. Without further ado, here are my June Favorites!

julyfav1

That is definitely way more than 5-6 items!

1. [Eyes] Essence I Love Stage Eyeshadow Base

essenceilstage1

I really love this eyeshadow base, as you can see from my review. I’ve taken to using this everyday and it really helps keep my eye makeup stay put. It’s also quite inexpensive.

2. [Face] Barenaturals Skin Perfecting Primer and Celeteque BB Cream

junegb05celbb4

I’m going to cheat and put two in this category. The first is the primer I received in my June Glamourbox. It’s a great primer and performs pretty well, even with that horrendous packaging. It’s a mainstay for my everyday makeup. The second is my current favorite BB cream. It performs so well for me and it’s a multitasker as well.

3. [Lips] Snoe Mauve Movement

Aprilhaul16

I always keep coming back to this whenever I don’t know what to put on my lips. The longetivity and robustness of this trumps everything else.

4. [Skin Care] Celeteque Brightening Tri-Benefit Power Cream and Celeteque Restorative Friming Overnight Cream

julyfav2 julyfav3

Again another double-item category. These are my current day cream and night cream respectively. I am so far enjoying them, but I am waiting for about a month of use before I write a formal review.

5. [Nails] Dazzle Dry Me d’Forest Queen and BK Nail System Dotting Tool

medforestqueen5 mayjunehaul13

Yep I cheated again. I have two items in my nails slot. My newest DD lacquer deserves this spot of course, since green is my favorite and this is such a beauty. My dotting tool also made it, since it helped me do my best nail art so far.

6. [Tools] Artist Studio Brushes

julyfav4

I have a number of Artist Studio brushes, and by far I am liking them all! The ones I can’t live without are the powder brush, the angled flat top brush, the eyeliner brush, and the eyeshadow brush. I plan on writing a review of these as soon as I complete the collection (I’m just missing 3 or 4).

There you have it for June! Do you like reading about favorites? Should I continue doing this?
